I created this consulting business because I believe that with time, patience and an understanding of both the student and what each university is looking for, every person can access a university suited to their needs.
We do not act as an agent for any university and we do not have an interest in pushing any student to apply to any particular institution. What we want is to ensure that the student’s application is the best it can be, and that students apply to the unversity that has the best 'fit' for them; based on their grades, personal interests, extra-curricular activities and long-term goals. I have guided students into Ivy League universities, highly recognized program institutions and also into smaller, highly recognized Liberal Arts colleges; it all comes down to what fits the particular individual.
We advise students (and their parents) from as early as the age of 14 onwards (first year of High School/GCSE). Starting early means that the student can identify some general goals and we can understand the family's ambitions, assess the student's profile, and propose structural goals for the student and family in this process. Having guidance on things that require early focus, such as what types of extra-curricular activities they should consider participating in, and course requirements for future board exams and university curricula, will make the process more smooth and natural.
In the more senior years of school, we provide hands-on assistance with university selection, applications, essay-writing, results preparation and helping both parents and students to manage their time to minimise stress. With some students doing both IB and SATs, time management for applications is critical, so that the student does not feel overwhelmed at such an important stage of their schooling.
In the past year alone, we have visited 28 Universities and met with the admissions counselors at all of them. I am delighted to be able to say that all 38 of the 6th form students that I advised this year have gotten into at least one of their top 3 choices of university in the US. I am very proud of them and am excited to see what their future holds.
